Friday 8/15
Made it through traffic, stopped at the food store and got to the track in time to do my registration.  Exciting, eh?

Saturday 8/16
Morning practices were slow.  I wasn't feeling like my head was in the right place for racing this weekend.

GP Singles
I had the beginnings of a great start..  I had a first row grid spot, and had the front wheel off the ground when the green flag came out.  I feathered the clutch a bit in order to keep the front wheel down, but screwed up and bogged the bike.   Suffice to say, I wasn't in a good position going into T1.  I ended up pretty far back in the pack.  I tried to put my head down and catch up, but I made the same mistake going into T2 3 laps in a row, which meant I had no chance of getting a decent finish in this race.  I finished in a poor 8th spot.. totally frustrated with myself.   My laps were 2 seconds off my last weekend's times.  Dissapointing.

LWGP
I had another first row start and got a great launch, but it's pretty much impossible to get to T1 in front in this race since we're up against a pack of SV650s.  I managed to do battle with one SV rider, and finally made a pass stick coming through T3.   I finished 7th spot, and my lap times were way off again.

Sun 8/17
Got up and did yellow sticker practice, then red sticker practice.  My times were terrible.  My head clearly wasn't in the right place for this weekend.  After practices, Rick, Joanne and I took out some dirtbikes to the dirt oval out back and played for quite a while.  We had a great time. personally, I had more fun doing that than racing this weekend.  Hopefully next weekend will fare better.
