Friday 5/14
Made it through traffic, stopped at Steve's to pick up some parts I had previously left with him, installed some wheel bearings then went to the track.  This is my first race weekend (though it was the second LRRS weekend)

Saturday 5/15
I hadn't been on a motorcycle since last September, so first practice was pretty poor.   Second practice felt a little better, but I had a problem with my shift lever.   I had put an aftermarket pipe on and adjusted it up, but it was too far up for me to shift, so I moved it back down a bit.  Under riding conditions it was hitting the pipe, so second practice was a waste as I couldn't get the bike upshifted.

125 GP
It was 86 degress out, which is much better than previous years where it was snowing.  I had a decent start and had a decent first few laps.  I got by a couple motards and was moving forward a little when I got bumped in T11 by my friend Rick.   It was kind of fun, actually.  He got me into T12, and I passed him back on the straight.  He outbraked me into T1 and stayed in front.  Dane came by a lap later in T3 and I almost hit him, as either a) he came in at a diagonal line and cut me off or b) I started to turn as he came across on the brakes.  Either way, I had to aim for the tire wall to keep from hitting him, which meant I lost the position as well as several others.  Bruce came by later on and we diced a bit.  My lap times were terrible, my shin was unmoveable (the shifter is just too high with this pipe).

LWGP
I was totally exhausted for this race.  My shin was already overtired from shifting in GP Singles.  I got a decent start and ended up in the middle of a big mess into T1.  I took the wrong line into T3 and ended up in the back of the pack.   The race was mostly uneventful, except for almost hitting someone who crashed in T12.  I ended up dead last in the race, with a best lap time only in the 1:26s.   Not very good at all.

I left the track Sat evening, dropped off the bike at Steve's for Shannonville, we had dinner and I went home.  It was a fun but frustrating weekend.
